Christmas Ornaments

I know that this image has a lot of work to be done, but really do not know exactly what it needs. Any critiques is helpful.

Maybe make a few green, or blue. Maybe make a few, or all of them, have more gloss to them, although I do like the matte finish.

I was going for the diffused gloss look, and not too reflective. Adding any more reflection made them look not so great. But I do agree that a variety of colors would look cool. May try that. And thank you for a response!

Orrrr, maybe you could add a pattern to some of them?

I as thinking of a pattern, will try that. I will do some colors, and patterns and re-post.

How many colors were you thinking of? Imo I would avoid yellow, since the caps are already yellow. Maybe some medium purple?

I am liking the look of unsaturated blue and green. Will try the med. purple too.

What are you going for exactly? A piece of art or just a nice Christmas postcard? I think there’s not enough focus for the viewer. Perhaps have the bulbs surround another type of ornament. Or maybe be ironic, and put something non-Christmas-y in the center. Mix it up a little bit. Draw the viewer in. The colors are fine, but it needs some bold composition.

I kind of like the cyan color for Christmas ornaments, maybe one of them be rgb(0, 172, 200). I don’t know, see what you think about that color, this is your scene. I have to disagree with Illusionist, I like the simple bulbs, but it is probably a choice of preference

My goal for the scene was something simple, I didn’t want it to have anything complicated that took the simplicity away from it. I think I will try and make the front bulb “pop” a little bit more with a brighter red. And try to separate the from bulb from the back ones with a stronger DoF to get a focus point for the viewer.

And while I am at it, I am going to try and add some things to experiment, and see if Illusionist is on to something.
