Im new to blender artists - this is my first post and completed artworks :D.
I was doing a christmas project so I decided to post it and see what people thought of it. My rigging and shadows weren’t great but I guess it’s ok for my first go :rolleyes:.

Yeah i can see i needed to refine it more after lookin at it for awihle. :o Just one the what’s AO - lol im still a noob and dont know these things.

When using blender internal, go into the world panel, click onto “amb occ”, click the only button there, and that’s all really. Then if you play with those values, most importantly the “samples” value, it’ll sort out AO for you. AO is basically where renders look more photorealistic by bouncing light back from objects. Here’s some examples:
(First image without AO: 2.5 seconds)
(Second image with AO at 5 samples: 10.5 seconds)
(Third image with AO at 10 samples: 35 seconds)
