My Christmas render for this year. I hope you like it.
And Merry Christmas!
It’s nice but the sky is a little boring and the snow on the floor is too noisy. The trees, houses and lights look really nice.
Hi pisto
Cheers for the feedback, much appreciated.
I agree with you about the noisy snow. I’ve struggled with the snow generally (trying to put in tire tracks and footprints etc. which you just can’t see at that angle). I will probably try simplifying this texture somewhat to see if it leads to a nicer result.
As for the sky, this is exactly the way I want it to be honest. I like the balance of the bleak winter look in contrast to the colours and interesting points below it. As such, I’ll likely leave that as is.
I like it. The noise on the snow should not be removed because it looks more like film grain and not like grain from a render. I’d leave everything alone on this scene. Great job.
Thanks for that scorpius, really appreciate the feedback.
I like the use of color, and I can lively imagine a drab sky. Not sure if I’d go for it in a render, but it’s realistic enough in some countries Also I think the models quite good. I’m not sure if you’re going for it, but the houses have a miniature look to me. It’s because the lights in the tree are relatively big compared to other items in the scene, such as the snow man and the windows. The tree itself is convincing, but I would have estimated it smaller than a house based on the size of the lights, not twice as high. I definitely would render it with more samples, in that sense I agree with pisto.
