Sweet work Endi Always love ur renders, they just glow of inspiration!

Sweet UV texturing!
U’ll really need to do a tute on ur fabulous post-pro and texture\UV work!
Anyway, it’ll be great to see this guy animated, can’t wait for your move
This is a simple poly modell with subsurf and UV texturing.
I’ve posted this to CGTalk:
Somebody post this:
“this is great! i like the textures and your design, especially the face. Cool that it was done with blender - i havent seen too much stuff done with the program, but this is great!”
just saw the wire on cgtalk… how on earth did you manage to unwrap those uvcoordinates? I just recently tried uvmapping, and I had much simpler model, and yet it took forever to unwrap… huh… do you go face by face?
I make the UVs on the low poly modell. This is a subsurfed modell, that you can see on the wire screenshot.
In this case, I don’t use subsurf, because it makes the model very thin.
So I use the “subdivide smooth” in the edit mode.
For making UV sets I use “from window” projection method in the face mode. I do this for the body, arms, foots, head etc. in many pass. Not on the full modell in one pass.
I forget this: after “from window” projection, I need to correct the UV set by hand, because the “from window” method makes distortions by the perspective. Some many faces on the “edge of the view” is very thin.
