Classicall music?!!

I wanted to do an animation where the cars are flying through the air… Does anyone know what the name of the classical piece is that is usually used for that sort of thing?
(i.e. low, low, med, high high, super high, super high, high high, etc.)Early thanks!

Strauss’s Blue Danube waltz. I could find the midi for it if you want to to.
IT’s a bit overused imho, and there are better pieces out there for flying. Depends on the feel, whether it’s relaxed, or scary, or intense, or magical…

Thank you!

I was thinking of “The Ride of the Valkeries”. It depends on what the feel of the flying car is, though. If you want it to seem graceful, use Blue Danube. If it’s insane and exciting, use Valkeries.

That one’s overused to. If it’s realy bumbling and clumsy maybe the A section of Chopin’s Etude op 25 no 4?

Arg what was that one used so effectively in ‘2001’ during the space station approach? or how about baby elephant walk? Maybe some bavarian folk song w the tubas, etc? If it’s fast paced maybe some ragtime. WAIT I HAVE IT!! …: Bachs Cello suite (c minor i THINK)

I would suggest Waltz from Jazz Suite No. 2 by Dmitri Shostakovich. It’s more whimsical than Blue Danube, with the waltz charm and a modern jazz touch.

About 2001, is that Thus Spake Zarathustra? I don’t know the movie, it’s just a guess.

here i made you this thing so you would know to which piece i refer,…it’s actually me playing the violin into my computer microphone, but i lowered it a few tones in nero wav editor. sounds fairly cello like i thought. ==> http://home.att.net/~zolgnar/index.html/bachthing3.zip

That was the Blue Danube Waltz, wasn’t it?

Ah. Y’know I think you’re correct. Some demented accordian music might be nice.
