Hello,
I would like to know if there is a script that will attempt to properly close an area like the one below automatically ?
If not what would be the best work flow to do this ?
Thank you

The Remesh modifier should be able to do that, not with the best topology unfortunately, but at least it would close those holes without effort.
Add a Remesh modifier to your object, set the Remesh to “Smooth” and see if you need to increase or not the Octree and Scale setting of the modifier.
Also try Grid Fill http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/Dev:Ref/Release_Notes/2.69/Modeling#Mesh_Editing
Thanks. The remesh modifier already had been applied to this one but with not a very good output.
I was hoping for something that would take into consideration the curves around the hole so it both fills the gap but makes it look as natural as possible…
