Cloth behavior in animation vs. game engine

Hello all,

Here are two blend files. In both are cloth objects with rigid bodies underneath them. Following some tutorials, I’ve learned how to make the cloth fall and deform around the rigid bodies in an animation.

Does cloth act differently in the game engine? I want the cloth layer to be deformed by rigid bodies moving up underneath it. When I start the game engine, the rigid body rises up and strikes the cloth layer, which does not deform. I’m missing an important step, or several.

Turn off the bounds for the GE version, and set it as a “soft body”.

Edit: Also should flip normals and apply scale (CTRL+A).
