Cloth frame-by-frame editing??

Hey guys, I have made a t-shirt for a character i am animating, but i am having a problem… I am using the cloth modifier for the simulation, and i have pinned the shirt to the right vertex group. Everything looks great when i run it, but there are just a few frames where the shirt tears a little. I have read everywhere that once you run the simulation, you can go back and edit the mesh frame by frame, but it won’t work for me… I have the bake editing button turned on, but when i tab into edit mode it always jumps to the normal position of the mesh and not the simulated one… so how do i edit the baked shirt mesh on individual frames? thanks!
