I keep having this problem. I have a cloth pinned in the middle of a torus, but I try dropping a rigid body, collision sphere on it but it just goes through the cloth. It looks like its trying to hold it up but it just falls through. Here is a picture so you know what I mean.
If you are trying to have the ball bounce back from the cloth pins, that’s not possible. But to get the ball to be as hidden as possible, you need to increase the simulation quality to a very high level and you need to make sure your plane is subdivided enough times. The simulation looks good for a while until your ball gets too far down. That’s when the cloth starts to freak out.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but the molecular addon can only really be useful once we can mesh the particles, right? Otherwise it’s just a bunch of balls…so to speak
the particles can be meshed together using the particle link in the addon, each particle can have a specific number of links to adjoining particles, with settings for friction, damping etc. using this you could easily construct a mesh
I watched multiple videos and read the entire documentation on the addon. I still have absolutely no idea how to use it. Also, I have a small suspicion that the addon doesn’t work correctly with the latest version of Blender…
