Cloth Sim Makes A Difference!

Introducing the latest iteration of Barry, the protagonist of my YouTube animated series “Anywhere, Barry.” Now featuring enhanced cloth simulation—thank goodness for that addition!

Since I am still learning, the show is still evolving to find its identity and purpose. Currently, I’m tackling episode 2 solo, though I’m hopeful that may change in the future

The first episode is already so good!
The visual treatment of the dream works really well.
I can’t wait to see how it turns out with more realistic clothes.

Did you make everything in Blender?

Thank you! I tried using Blender for everything, but the cloth simulation was a bit of a headache. It’s not great with cloth sims yet, so, I decided to use Marvelous Designer for it.
Besides that, it’s all done in Blender

MD is clearly superior to Blender in this area, and that’s perfectly understandable.
In any case, I’ll be following the next episodes of your series with great interest

I really liked it! The tone and pace is beatiful! Of course the cloth would make things nicer but.
To parafrase my old hero Barnett Newman: “There’s no such thing as good animation about nothing”
I pressed the subscribe button and wait for the next episode

Yes! So true! I think about it every day. “Am I exaggerating? Is this even necessary?” The cloth is just a touch. I want to learn all aspects of 3D so it makes sense to add it. What matters the most is how good the story is, which is frightening, haha. I could add nice fabric all day, but writing takes all you have.
