Cloth to mesh

Is there a way to convert a cloth into a static mesh?

I tried by applying the modifier that was created but the mesh came back to its original state.
What I want is to convert a specific frame of the baked clothed animation into a deformed mesh.

Look at your modifier stack and make sure the cloth modifier is first. So if you have subsurf turned on for example, make sure that it is below the cloth modifier, and that the cloth modifier is on top. Then it should work.

The cloth modifier is the only modifier to be applied.
When I press apply the mesh takes its original shape and the cloth
deformation is lost. Am I doing sth wrong or is it just no possible?

I found the solution.

I shouldn’t have baked the animation prior.
I went to the desired frame without baking the animation,applied the modifier and it worked!
