I am trying to create a photorealistic puff of powder similar to the effects below:
It should look like makeup powder being flung from a brush.
I’ve tried various smoke simulations and particle systems, but cannot really get it to look quite right.
I can get something interesting with a smoke sim, but it’s too uniform and needs those random chunks. I figure that could be a separate particle system, but I am having a hard time getting the particles to look good at all. Also they don’t seem to react to force fields the same way the smoke does.
