I created a clouds texture in the texture properties. How do I add it to the node editor? I want to plug it into roughness on a principled BSDF.
You must create that clouds with the nodes. Noise texture should be good for that. You can also add that ColorRamp mode to controll the values.
So the node system is separate from the texture system? What is the texture panel used for? Making brushes?

texture nodes are deprecated and only exist for backward compatibility.

Thank you. I have never used that editor. I guess I was thinking about all the nodes in the Shader Editor, like Image Texture, etc
