I’m a new member of elYsiun.
I’m a coachbuilder and my new work project is the follow. Give me your impressions about the style of this car before the building. Technical features: 4 cylinders, 2.3L, supercharged, 180Hp, 5 gears, front wheel drive with 4 independant wheels with hydropneumatic suspension (like a DS) for a weight of about 850Kg. For informations this following pictures were realised with blender only.
Beautifull car. I especially like rodgatti-04.jpg. And the rear end totally rocks.
Only question mark for me is the frontend. Everything is so nice and round but the nose is so sharp… I wonder how it would look if the edges were more round.

Very nice model! I, too like the rear end treatment. It seems a shame to use front-wheel-drive on it tho… especially when you have such a “rear-heavy” design that would be sweet with a coupla big 13" mag slicks bolted on for some smokin’ burnouts at the local strip.
Very cool design! I like the grille very much. However, I don’t like the windows. I think the top of the window should remain in parallel to the roof and the bottom of the window should be parallel to the ground, rather than dipping down like it does.
Hey… it’s a little bit off top, but still .))) What is the best way to do such soft background with a shadow droped by car??? I meen there’s no horisont… and it’s cool .)))
I belive it’s ok just to place bended plane… but may be there’s something else to do???
Sorry I didn’t explain well. I was refering to the side windows. What I meant to say was that I think the windows would look better if they followed the lines in the attached image. But its probably just a matter of taste.
Hum child of C11 x Silver Shodow was my first thought.
2nd i don’t like the ‘set back’ nose. ( leads to tech. problems too since weight of engine will move too far back )

Well, but aerodynamics and safety issues should be regarded:
safety:
the ‘blades’ on the front wheel covers designed to to cut of hands and feet of any colliding pedestrian (??) disqualifies this vehicle to be part of public traffic.
aerodynamics:
front wheel covers are ideal wings,
the drop shape cabin with the very low cut off line will fly too,
the front part beeing 15 cm higher above ground than the ‘no weight’ part of the rest will give a nice ‘ground effect’ to make loose traction on the rear wheels at say 120 km/h
so if you want to build in a 180 HP engine get the nose down and provide a cut off spoiler (can be a decent one) above the rear window.
Still i estimate 11l/100km fuel at 100 km/h with a modern engine.
Well it looks like a car for people having the money
bjornmose, about the layout or the style, it’s a matter of taste, so…
However, about the safety and aerodynamic, it’s an other thing…

Re-drawing and besides conceive (with c.a.o) the car for your personnality and tastes.
It’s the “Tuning” or “Custom”.
For that, 2 solutions:
1-Full buliding with identity of a vintage car or an confirm like a modern single car. Not a pb for that.
2-Convert an exisiting car, with, of course a confirm.
when you convert an existing vehicle, questions about safty, aérodynamic or other, it’s not we pb, because the car in question have already identity.
