ok…I need the insides of that spacecraft I showed here earlier… remember, tux landing, popping out of it… drawing the gun, that animation.
next step is to show some shots from inside of the ship, before the landing… tux cruising through space… and… well… let’s not go into that yet
anyways, here’s the ship so far…
from back:
(notice the awesome reflection map on the window… hehheh)
another angle:
what do you think?
does it look anything like it looks from the outside?
if you don’t remember what the ship looked from outoside, here’s the original thread about it: https://blenderartists.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=15907
It does look like it fits the ship. Unfortunately (and this is just me, mind you), I don’t know if it fits the scale of your Tux that gets out of the ship. I need to take another look at that animation, but I always got the feeling that Tux was the only thing that could fit in that ship… and not very comfortably. You might want to take a look at the scale and relative sizing of Tux and the ship.
Other than that, this looks like it’s coming together quite nicely. I can’t wait to see it textured and colored.
It’s like when you have too many polys and the shadow gets screwed up. I’m not sure what specifically does it, but I had the same problem on the cheeks of my elvis head, so I welded a few verts, and it was fine.
Cool - a 5 speed spaceship!!! The shifter looks just like the one in an old 68 VW Beetle I once had.
Honestly, I like the lamp on the seat best. I think the whole interior has an overall old-fashioned sci-fi look to me. You know? Like what things were going to look like in the 1990’s according to people in the 1940’s. That is a cool style.
Big improvement, well done. Can we see Tux sitting in it? I like the blender screenshot on the monitor… nice touch. Keep it up. What else are you planning to do to this?
