code management when building from trunk

Hi Folks,

I’ve been playing around with the new cycles hair patch and keep running into a problem with code management
I’m using Win7 x64 and building with cmake, managing code with TortoiseSVN
If I pull all the source code from BF and use tortoise to apply the patch everything works great
But then a few days later if I want to update my source code from BF I run into problems
Do I need to un-apply the patch, update the source code, then re-apply the patch?
I see an option in the tortoise menu to “revert” the code, does this un-apply the patch?
I’ve tried that and it didn’t seem to work, am I just making some mistake?
When I do that I get an error applying the patch, but the code will still compile, but then I don’t have the new menu items from the patch
So far when I get stuff messed up I’ve just deleted the code and re-downloaded it, but that’s a huge download
What’s the proper procedure I need to be following?

DOH!! never mind, I was being brain dead
BroadStu changed the code so you have to switch to the experimental tab in render settings
