get a google account
get and setup google drive desktop client
open that link in your browser and organize it to your “my drive” folder. (click the grey folder icon on top)
Well, perhaps no one has the time to help out. I, for one, wouldn’t mind but I have way too much that I’m supposed to be doing instead. The book cases and the books look great.
Jonathan, I am home sick this week so I might have been expecting a bit too much. Thanks!
thanks mexico
Awesome!! So the idea of dropbox is that it takes the files from a directory on your pc and uploaded them onto dropbox’s servers. If the dropbox application finds a file that is out of date and out of sync in comparison with what is on the servers, your pc’s dropbox directory will be updated with the newest files that have been uploaded. This makes dropbox or google drive ideal for team play like this.
The only thing is, I need your dropbox login ID so I can invite you. I dont think I can make a whole directory public without invites.
Major4z, I’ve installed dropbox deamon and it says it works, but I don’t see this ID anywhere. Also I can not find you, so you can try searching for me. My name is Duje (hence Duy3) Bajalica.
Strangely enough I’ve never used this kind of software, I’d always run around with diskettes (or sticks nowdays).
You know how sometimes you get immersed into reading a book, or, as we say, get lost in it. I was thinking we could do some maze out of bookshelves (and other things?). So I sketched up some Escher-like space for a preview, tell me are you interested into the idea.
it’s just a concept without any detail. We could build couple of elements, as you did with the bookshelf, and instance them all around the space in all directions.
Major4z, I need to know if you are fine with it so I can start laying down some basic constructs. Actualy we should talk about perspective/ortographics and other things even before that if the idea interests you.
I’m ok. The cold was pretty bad 2 days ago but I’m over the hurdle.
Oh yeah, cloud storage is great. You can get to the files you’ve chosen to sync from wherever you have an internet connection. And its free space, so why not.
It looks like I just need the email address you registered to dropbox. Then I can send you an invite and you’ll get a link for the shared folder in your email. Then you’re all set. Theres a readme in the shared directory for more help.
Its a cool idea. I dont know if the project will end up looking like your concept, a lot of people will be making changes and additions on top of what you already have.
In the end, this is like flockdraw but in 3d, so anything could happen.
hey Im back. Are you sure you have everything working alright? the way this is supposed to be working is that we are all supposed to be looking at the same scene with our blend files. Are you working and saving everything into the dropbox directory?
I’ve still been messing around in here, I dont see any signs of anyone else having made any changes yet
