collision object

I’d need help with a simple pzthon’s script, witch would find conflicting objects in a scene. F.E. After pressing button it should writing out the names of the conflicting objects.

I’m new at this, but isn’t “collision detection” one of the big, computation-intensive parts of 3d simulation? I’m thinking this is too much for a simple python script to do,and that its better to use python’s physics engine.
