COLOR key in blender

is it possible to key a color and remove it in blender

Can you be more specific…?
Do you mean a color from the material of an object…?
If you do, then yes, select the object (with a material) go to the IPO window and from the menu on the header choose “Material” to see the keys for the material. The keys are called R, G and B (for red green and blue respectively)

If you mean key as in chroma key in compositing, it is most certainly possible with the node compositor.

Get a test build from www.graphicall.org, and see the sticky in Blender General questions about node compositing techniques.

It’s not so simpple as it is in, say AFX, it requires some tweaking.
