Command line render with GPU/CUDA

Is there a way to get Cycles to render using GPU/CUDA, when dispatching the render from the command line?

Currently it uses CPU, even though the scene is set to use GPU, and renders fine on the GPU when in the GUI.

Did you check the parameters involved in rendering by button or hotkey? It could be they trigger something more than a render sequence?
Assuming they’re accessible…

You need to have the system preferences set up to handle gpu rendering… if you dont have access to the gui, you can do this via a python script under bpy.context.user_preferences.system.compute_device_type = ‘CUDA’ and bpy.context.user_preferences.system.compute_device = ‘CUDA_0’
