Compile blender with OpenMP

I compiled the svn blender (as of 10-11-08) with -fopenmp and WITH_BF_OPENMP = ‘true’ , and when I ran it, I ran export OMP_NUM_THREADS=2, but when I ran the fluid sim, it only used about 50-75% of my dual core cpu. What is wrong?

btw I am useing ubuntu hardy 64, with gcc 4.2.3

Nothing, probably the scheduling makes it so that not 100% is being used. 75% already means that you have more than just one core in use. Keep in mind that the scheduling is done automatically, so it can be suboptimal.
