Completely unlink object in blender file

So I linked an object from one blender file to another. It happened to be my FPS rig for blender GE. However that was apparently not a good idea, I can’t enter the FPS camera, and if I make proxy all of the objects I notice none of the logic bricks stay once they are made proxy (and none of the parenting, etc).

So I decided I will just append the object instead… except I can’t. The Linked object stays under the Shift+a menu (add Group Instance) and for the life of me I can’t find any way to remove it, or any documentation on how to remove it… can someone give me a hand with that?

Or if there is a way to link an FPS rig and have it work that would be great too.

Make backup. Outliner, select display Groups. Unlink, save file, open saved.

Well, that was surprisingly easy! I had tried to find the Group in the outliner before, but for some reason wasn’t able to. Switching the view to Groups made it work just fine, thanks.
