Computer build

Hi, I’ve been modeling on and off for a couple years on a really pretty old machine and since I’ve saved up a little money I decided to try to build a new computer. My experience with stuff like this is very minimal I’ve never done it before so I thought I’d ask here first before I placed my order. My budget is caped at $780.00 which I know won’t get me a dream machine but it’ll beat what I have now :stuck_out_tongue:

To be honest I’m really behind the curve afar as computer parts go but what I was aiming for was a decent system to replace what I have (a prebuilt of about 8 years : P). I really don’t know much as I should about computer parts so feel free to suggest some alternatives to what I picked out, I’m really just looking for some feed back for a complete noob :3

The cpu you have chosen meant for an AM3 socket, but the motherboard has an FM1 socket. From a quick look, I don’t think they are compatible.

You have also selected the student version of Windows. Are you sure you are eligible for that? Otherwise try to get the OEM version, which should be considerably cheaper than the normal version.

Yeah as far as the student version goes I’ve gotten a verification from Microsoft in my student e-mail so I think I’m good, though I wasn’t aware of the OEM version thanks. I’ll look into the mother boards some more I should do some more research on it.
