If I put a check mark in cache result under output, will this save my file and where will it save the file? It crashed right at the end of the render. No crashes up until now. Could it be fron installing addons while I was rendering.

No it wont.

Fantastic, I assume you are rendering to images (best practice) whcih means you only need to render off the last few frames
> Could it be fron installing addons while I was rendering.
Quite potentially.
If you werent rendering to frames, you have learnt your lesson, render to frames in case of crashes, compile to video afterwards.
Thanks for the info doublebishop. Re-rendered and no crash.
I’d go one step further with this admonition and say: “render individual frames to MultiLayer OpenEXR files.”
Render one frame at a time, and, as each frame is completed, use this technique to ensure that all of the data that the renderer produced has been captured for all time.
Even if you decide to “re-render” something, it will behoove you to arrange your workflow in such a way that you don’t actually destroy what you rendered previously. (Nor, the blend-files necessary to reproduce those “earlier” results exactly.)
