I’m sculpting ventriloquist dummy heads for eventual 3D printing. I am not attempting animations. I’m hollowing the head using the “Solidify” modifier. Then, when attempting to cut eye holes in the hollow head, Blender crashes. I’m using a Dell Inspiron i5 computer with 8GB of memory. My question is… is the crash because I need more RAM, a more powerful computer, or am I just doing something wrong?
If you are in Windows go to event viewer.
What am I looking for? I see a lot I don’t understand.
Something that says Blender.exe in Windows Logs> Application
Another option is to replicate the situation and at same time have task manager opened to check the memory.
