I really need some critiques on a project I am working on for some friends. They are running a video/audio/light company, and I’m working on an animation showing their logo.
I’m not satisified with the lights…the set-up looks cheap…any suggestions, or comments in general.

Add textures to the lights. Also there are probably going to be more lights than just the ones hanging over the stage. Get one of the lighting designers to suggest some templates. Then go online to a sight that has pictures of said templates and then map them to the lights. Will give you a textured break up. Dunno what type of light you are going for but that should be a step in the right direction.
Also I do love your second picture with the console to the bottom right. Reminds me of the work I have done in the theatre realm.
