Connecting two complex objects

Hi everybody, I’m new here and new to 3D modelling, but I think I’m doing pretty good for a beginner

Anyway, I’m having some trouble with connecting two irregular and different pieces together. I’ve tried everything I can think of, and searched the boards, but nothing has worked very cleanly. Specifically, I’m modelling a person, and I somehow accidentally cut him across the waist, removing the face that was there. I’m now trying to do legs, but the problem is that the waist that I’m trying to attach the legs to is complex and curvy, and doesn’t match up exactly with the vertices on the tops of the legs. I would have just extruded from the waist, but the “make face” tool doesn’t like the curvy surfaces there either

I’d appreciate any help

Can’t quite figure out what you’re trying to say, but have you tried the bridge faces/edge loops script assuming you want to connect legs to the waist?

I need to do legs, and I’ve somehow ended up with this:

This is the best I’ve been able to do so far at connecting them:

And I messed with the bridge faces script, but I don’t know how to use it. Just gives me errors. If you think that’ll help though, I’ll go and look up how to use it

Thanks

you could go face by face its kinda slow but the results are satisfatory grab four vertices at time and hit f key if the faces dont want to connect hit w then smooth then f again

Ah, why didn’t I think of that? Thank you very much, that worked
