I hav eno idea if this gets posted. I keep getting “Database error” returns from the site, and then it refuses my attempts to repost because it says I am posting copies. But the posts never show up.
Am I alone with this? 
Got a database error on this one, too. But it seems to post it nonetheless. Not so with other posts. wonder if this reply gets an error and/or posted…
No, I’ve had same problem and an additional one. Also today when I hit show New Posts I get the same page and it doesn’t refresh (even though I posted so I know there are new ones… they usually show up). I’ve closed & restarted the browser but that hasn’t helped it. There’s some bad karma today somewhere in the iNets.

I checked this in both Windows Vista and Ubuntu (10.10). Same deal. I cannot post replies to my old thread, and have had to make a new. Of course, I can’t even announce the new thread, so I’m just hoping people who followed the thread notice the new one.
This is very, very bad.
Edit: Got database error again on this post. It is constant and completely pervasive now.
Your post still goes through and all edits still go through, it just gives an error and you have to exit the thread.
I wonder if Goofster is trying to code a flood-control system for posts and is trying to iron out some errors as a result of the work, as long as coding works goes on for this forum there will be some glitches now and then.
I wouldn’t be surprised if soon we see Goofster show up and announce it’s fixed, I’m sure he’s still maintaining the site like he always has been doing.
Nope, some threads it won’t even post in at all. I can stand the confusing error messages, but the refusal to post (and subsequent claim that it is posted, even if it clearly is not) worry me. I feel muted 
And yes, I checked the lack of posting extensively before posting this.

I think he will, yeah. I was just worried. I switched to a partitioned Windows and Ubuntu setup last week, and wanted to be sure it wasn’t just my computer screwing up
I too upgraded my systyem this week, and the errors were disturbing, but it’s all server related on the blenderartists side.
I got a couple of ‘database’ errors within the past few days, and when I tried to reload the website, I got some joomla error message in my browser (firefox). Really thought nothing about it figuring it’s just a glitch somewhere. I didn’t even pay attention to what the error message was…
Now, as of a hour ago, I noticed a thread I replied to still has a post count of 0, even though I and someone else posted to it. Also just noticed a post from some new member with a post count of zero… If you sign up here and make one post, isn’t your post count now 1 since you’ve made a post? 
I’ve dismissed all of this so far as a glitch someplace and no big deal, it’s just a ghost in the machine sort of thing…
After reading this maybe it’s really a new bug and not a ghost…

Well I think it’s really an improvement, now reading and posting on the site feels a lot like working in Blender itself, it basically works but in a slightly unconventional way, and only as the time goes you will begin to feel more confident, to find work-arounds and overlook some weirdness… just kidding, will love it some day and won’t understant why noobs keep double posting
