Constraints

Gosh I feel dense tonight. I am trying to understand constraints (with bones for sure), I have read the info here
But I am still having a hard time wrapping my head around this.
It’s like I am missing something very basic.
Any insights or thoughts about what I need to focus on?
Sorry that I am somewhat slow…

I’m not sure what you are having trouble with regarding constraints … You aren’t very clear about what you are having a hard time understanding but basically the various types of constraints do what they’re named for : “track to (any object type in Blender)” , “Copy Location (of any object type etc.)” etc … Also you might want to use a somewhat more recent documentation on the subject (even if incomplete) found here . The UI panels have changed since whatever version of Blender was back in 2004 … But a couple of things about wavez’s “Intro” (1. It’s not complete and it seems he is wrong about the “Null Constraint” 2. and there is no documentation on the “Action Constraint” but a good tutorial/explanation about from the forum here )

Hope this helps . And also you might get a faster response if you post in the right forum - i.e. “Animation” - if you have questions about armatures etc in the future .

Thanx for the links. I apologize for posting in the wrong forum, lack of sleep makes one do strange things!
