Control the subdivision settings on multiple objects

I want to implement render-time smoothing on multiple objects. Right now I know I can apply a subdivision surface modifier to each individual object. However, doing that manually can be very slow. In other render engines I can cause multiple objects to share this kind of setting, allowing me to control the settings for all in one place. Is there a way to do this in Blender?

Ctrl+ 0 ctrl+1 ctrl+2 etc…
Or activate copy attribute menu addon in preferences. Select all objects that need subdivision and the one with the modifier ar last (it becomes the active element). Ctrl+C .copy selected modifier.
