Convert SubSurf to Mesh?

Hi. I’m reading a tutorial, which obviously is from an older version of blender. They say to press ALT+C to convert the subsurf to a mesh… where is that option now in Blender? I can’t seem to find it anywhere…

I’d like both the hotkey and where to find it in the menus in case I forget the hotkey at some point.

Thanks a lot.

It is still alt-c, just make sure you are in edit mode…

I tried this yesterday on ver 2.40

I just figured out a way to do it, but I’m not sure if it’s the proper way. I went into object mode and clicked “apply” on the subsurf modifier… It seemed to do the trick… but I’m still wondering if theres another command to do such a thing.

That’s not working for me… I tried it in edit mode, and I tried it with and without all vertices selected. Alt C does nothing for me. %|

SpaceBar, Object, Convert Object Type. But it’s easier to just press Apply in the Modifier tab.

Ok, thanks guys. I also just realized Alt+C only works in object mode.

Sorry, my mistake for saying it works in edit mode
