Convert subsurface mesh to polys?

Maybe I’ve missed it somewhere or just don’t remember but does anyone know if you can/how to convert a subsurfaced mesh to polys without cutting up the original model?

I have the shape of my object just about perfect but I need to do some revisions that I could only do in poly format ( sharp edges on a rounded surface, and such…)

Select your subsurfed mesh and then use ALT-C to convert your mesh (bake the subsurface to polygons).

…or set subsurf modifier to desired rate, and press “apply”. You can also experiment with Multires, in the editing buttons.
