I have text rotating around a globe. I want to use the quick explode effect on the text; however, when I convert the text to mesh, rotation values are lost.
Is there a way to “retain” the Location/Rotation values before converting to mesh?

Apply location rotation and scale. And if not then you had to convert before animating the text
Albertofx - Not sure what you mean by “apply”. The location/rotation/scale were key framed before attempting to convert. Is there another step I’m not aware of?
