converting 3d files and movies?

Hi,

anybody have a link to freeware tools that can convert 3d files (eg 3ds lwo …) to .dxf or directly to .blend?

also i search for a (freeware) tool that converts avi files to Quicktime movies.

Looks like a nice 3D converting program, but no it still can’t convert Lightwave 3D files and Maya… Hopefully that’ll be implented soon enough.

Now, why do you want to convert to Quicktime??? Use MPEG or DivX. They are much more flexible.

Well, I always suggest Accutrans 3d. It’s practically free at 20 bucks and you can download a full version, non expiring copy at: http://www.micromouse.ca/ but if you find you use it allot, please do send in your $20, it’s really cheap for all that it can do. If you like to transport stuff into other programs allot, this is for you.

Only problem is, is that it can only be used for windows right now. I’ve never tried wine, but that might work???
