Converting Particles + Dupliverts to Mesh

Hello! I have a particle generator of a cloud that i’m pretty happy with, but I don’t want it to be emitted from the particle emitter. In fact, its only going to be animated through the X and Y offset of the texture. So I was wondering, is there a way to “freeze” particles that have dupliverted meshes so that they no longer move?


ionstream, if you want to freeze a certain state of motion in your particle system then assign a time IPO the to emitter mesh and set it to a constant value (value on y-axis is the frame you want to be frozen for the whole animation).

When you then start the animation the particles (in your case the dupliverted elements) are frozen by the time IPO and won’t move. Hope that can help a bit.
