Copied objects will not keep posistion

I have a curve that I have extruded (ext1 & ext2) and copied it five times. I attempted later to copy one of the curves again and moved it to a new location. This worked fine. I rendered my scene only to find that the newly copied object did not appear.

I went back to the 3D window and found it missing there as well. After a lot of messing around, I found that the newly copied object had moved from the place that I had moved it, back to the location of the object I had copied it from.

This also occured when I tried to copy the curves of the same .blend file with 2.28a and 2.25. The same thing also happens when I append one of the aforementioned curves to a new blend.

This is driving me CRAZY! PLEASE help!

Thank you in advance

One thing you can try is: Go to the pull down buttons at the top, click on ‘edit methods’. On the right you will se the ‘duplicate’ menu. Uncheck IPOs. Another thing you can try is to select the duplicated object, then in the IPO window, select all its ‘loc’ keys, and delete them.

THANK YOU! for the quick reply! That was the problem. I KNEW it had to be something simple like that…

THANKS!
