Copy and paste uv mapping

Is it possible to copy and paste uv mapping from one object to another?

The vert paint tab has a copy button but no paste?

I am asking because I want to apply radiosity to low poly mesh’s, not add any new verts (by using low radiosity options) and put the UV mapping back on after baking th radiosity.

the copy button for vertex colors copies the color in the paint windows TO THE SELECTED FACES

uv information can not be reasonably (without math from hell) copied to another object unless the faces and verticies are the same, and in the same order.

Could that be done by having an object with the same number of verts-

Sorting both and merging in python?

I think I’ll write a script.
