# Copying effects to a meta strip on the VSE

Is there a way to copy an effect strip to a metastrip?  
I know I can copy it to another video by changing the source.  
But is there a way to copy it onto a metastrip?  
I think I need to change the “Input 1” from the effect strip in the “Strip” tab but it’s grayed out.

You can only copy the modifiers across
