Inside the Texture mapping options, there is one that allows you to use the texturing mapping from another object as a mapping guide for your current object… how will It work with UV information? You’ll have to do some experimentation on your own.
You mean in the material buttons, specific to each texture, where there are other options like Stick Win Nor Ref Glob UV, then you are wrong.
This is to use an object to position a texture on an object. This object (the one specified in the material buttons there) can be moved, and the texture will move with it. The same idea applies to scaling and rotating.
