Copyright question.

Hello,

I am new here. I have a question regarding copyright. In Blender there is a object Monkey. I would like to use it on my iPhone App but I am not sure if this will violate any copyright, does anyone know?

TIA.

your answer should be in there , shortly after Type One it specifically cites the monkey, and says it needs to be attributed. The details on that should be somewhere in that document possibly links to the actual legaleze. This means more exposure for blender if you do use her, and that is allways good.

Hi jcode,

thanks for the quick reply. When it comes to copyright, I am pretty much a noob.

>>it specifically cites the monkey, and says it needs to be attributed. <<

When you say it need to be attributed, does it mean I can use it but I need to make some kind of statement that it belongs to Blender in my app description?

Thanks again.

That is how I understand it.It is best to find the actual statements on the blender site and to read the liscense. It is from wikipedia.
