corckscrew topology

I’ve got this corkscrew effect when retopologizing:

Is there a way of sorting this out or do I have to start again?
thank you.

You said retopologizing but it sure looks like you are adding a loopcut to a wonky mesh… Retopologizing would be building a new clean mesh on the old one.

The original mesh is a multi million poly dynamic topology sculpt.
The only problem so far is the corkscrew effect on the new mesh.

Watch this video a few times, it has usefull methods and tips for retopo:

And if you get this effect you can not fix it, or at least much faster if you start over. Try to start the arms and legs with a clean edgeloop and follow with cyrindical shape.

The only problem so far is the corkscrew effect on the new mesh.

Did you Retopo it? How did you manage to put a corkscrew mesh flow pattern in the first place?

Any way to brake corkscrew mesh flow, you need to delete a string of meshes along the length of arm and bridge it back. This time, bridging the faces so that each ring around the arm is a single loop. You may need to move the vertex around to make it look even.
