Hi,
I’d like to ask for some help in modelling.
I am about modelling some houses. I have a house footprints from GIS data. These are planes that are nearly rectangular (some of them really are, but as footprints came from ground measurements real 90 degrees angle is quite rare). I’d like to reuse them with for ex. Building tools plugin (or similar) to create roof structures easily and quick. Problem is that most of plugins prefer rectangulars to even simply squeezed or rotated planes.
Now the question - is there any way to check & improve corners to have 90’ (or the nearest multiplication of 15’ (so we can have also 30, 45, 60 etc.))? Somehow simplifying face to reach desired angles? Squarify ? Hand manipulation of hundrets of corners is almost impossible, and as buildings are rotated (as in the city) recalculating all angles manually is quite impossible.
Will be glad for any help.
EDIT:
With 4 corners - looptools Circle is doing the job well… but what if we have L shape footoprint…
