This model I have been texture painting has been coming along pretty nicely, and its almost done.

I think your UV unwrapping has overlapping polygons. You need to go in there and even them out. It will help if you place your seams in better locations and then unwrap again.
Since you’re working on a face, this will sound awful, but think about where you would cut if you wanted to remove the skin and flatten it out as much as possible.
wooow i feel stupid. It was because i only had AO and enviroment lighting on the mes xD I added a lamp and it was all fine
