I just got a 6800k CPU. I have never overclocked a PC before, so I was wondering if it is worth doing, if all I will be doing is blender, considering I render with a 1080GTX?
I have basic i5 quad cpu 3.4Ghz, no even hyperthreading, and I’m doing fine. Rendering is done with 980Ti. Sometimes when trying cloth or other simulation, I need to wait.
I did some overclocking long time ago, in single core days, and I did gain some advantage, but now I don’t think it’s worth the trouble. But this is just me saying.
