I just tried to startup blender, which i hadn’t used for a month or two (working), but it didn’t work this time. It starts up the command-line window, says “Using python 2.4” and then it just hangs. The program window does not appear. My computer:
Intel Pentium III 1Ghz
Window XP Home
512 MB RAM
Geforce 2 Pro

Does it still do the same thing?
Any other programs have problems?
I had the same problem. I uninstaled my video codecs and it worked. Maybe try that?

No other programms have problems, i got this version working two months ago, and I uninstalled some recent video codecs and reinstalled blender, but nothing.
Did you do anything else, rgibsong?

Nope thats all I did. I can’t think of anything else, maybe go back and uninstall anything you’ve installed recently even if those programs don’t have any problems themselves.
