Crash on render

Hello all good people. I have a little problem. I’m making a cartoon SW Speeder Bike model (progress in WIP section http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=206494 ) but after I added some more details, my Blender is crashing on rendering (on raytrace). Without raytrace it looks very awful. Can someone help me?

My comp:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2,83GHz
4GB RAM
Ati Radeon HD 4800 series 2GB
Windows 7 32-bit

It is useful to post what version of Blender you are using and if you are using an external render system.

Raytracing is very expensive under the best of conditions. Can you bump the octree resolution setting? Can you simplify the rendering job in any way? Do it in tiles/sections?

I have changed tiles from 8x8 to 32x32. It was a little faster, but still crashed on raytrace. Then I have finally found octree settings (i was looking for it in earlier projects, but in Blender 2.5 is well hided). I have set the octree resolution to 512, and everything is working now.
