Hello all good people. I have a little problem. I’m making a cartoon SW Speeder Bike model (progress in WIP section http://blenderartists.org/forum/showthread.php?t=206494 ) but after I added some more details, my Blender is crashing on rendering (on raytrace). Without raytrace it looks very awful. Can someone help me?
My comp:
Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2,83GHz
4GB RAM
Ati Radeon HD 4800 series 2GB
Windows 7 32-bit
Raytracing is very expensive under the best of conditions. Can you bump the octree resolution setting? Can you simplify the rendering job in any way? Do it in tiles/sections?
I have changed tiles from 8x8 to 32x32. It was a little faster, but still crashed on raytrace. Then I have finally found octree settings (i was looking for it in earlier projects, but in Blender 2.5 is well hided). I have set the octree resolution to 512, and everything is working now. Thenks for help
