crash when scrolling with mouse

Hi,

I’ve got Kanotix Linux installed and have a crashing prob.
When I scroll in with the mouse wheel Blender crashes the whole session (dunno if this is the right word). After a short time of black screen I have to login again into Kanotix with my user account.
This happens with Blender 2.42a and 2.43RC2.
Is this a bug or can I cure this with some setting?
Prob with the distro? Is Kanotix known as being unstable?
I’m new to Linux.

P.S. This doesn’t happen with Blender using winxp on the same pc.

Yeah,

after having tried several linux distros I now have Suse 10.1 installed. Guess what? Blender works correctly after some short test. No more crashes with the mouse scrolling. Strange, eh? :yes:
