Well we all know that Blender’s video editor, the VSE doesn’t have a title tool. But you can use the excellent 3D animation tools to produce something similar. In this tutorial I have split my working area into 2 scenes on separate floating windows. Then I have created a new title generation tool to be added via scene strip into the master edit.
Also you can use the compositor to add some basic enhancements, like drop shadow and outline. Here is an example:
And here is the example file, I suggest you create your own template scene to import into other edit sessions.
