Creating 2D Dungeon?

Hello community! I am curious whether it is possible to create with blender a simple 2D game, something like a dungeon?
I have some experience with blender and photoshop in modeling sculpting texturing etc. I also saw a few times how to animate, but never came in contact with the game engine.

If yes, does someone know what the best way is to start? Which tutorials could be useful?
Thanks to all.

I would use a 2d plane, and use invisible “Blocks” to make places unnavigable,

to turn 3d models into 3d sprites, I would use 8 sets of each animation, so walk South, walk SouthWest, walk West, etc. like fallout 1.

Isometric is much better looking than TopDown,

Stairs are and doors to other areas are just

Collision with player--------python

It’s possible (basically, just set the camera to ortho and choose an axis that objects can’t move along) but Blender is optimized for 3d, which means it will not be very efficient relative to 2d engines that are designed specifically for 2d. You might have a better time with an engine designed for 2d.

2d sprites on a 3d environment = powerful

Final fantasy tactics was amazing, (I loved it)

You can use blender to export to android etc, where this type of system is integrated already,

thanks to all ! helped me a lot
