Creating a new camera from user view

I’m not sure if this is the right section for this question, so I hope you don’t mind if i wrong…

I’d like to know if there’s a way to automatically create a new camera that is closer to the current user view… This would be very useful to try to render some details in large models…

Thanks everybody for reading…

There is, but you have to go the long way round, at least as far as I know.

Add a new camera, make that camera the active one(CTRL+0), then go to your viewpoint and CTRL+SHIFT+0 to move the active camera to that point of view.

If you don’t mind moving the active camera, just CTRL+SHIFT+0 without adding another.

hI loige

this may not be exactly what you mean, but you can align the active camera to the current view by using CTRL - ALT - NumPad 0. It does not create a new camera, but if you store the original camera position with an IPO, it might not matter too much.

cheers, sloane

It works with CTRL+ALT+0 (numpad) as MrSloane said… thankyou so much
However thank to Organic too because he suggested how to manage more cameras or just one

Really useful… thanks again everybody
